Meet Kristine!

So, what can I tell you about myself?

My name is Kristine McKowen, better known to family and friends as Kris or Krissy.  I’m married to a great guy, have 5 kids (his, mine and ours) ranging from 9 years old to 25 years old, and have been an Indian Lake resident in Denville for the last 17 years.

You can usually find me at some field or in some gym watching football, baseball or wrestling.  I am most comfortable in jeans and sneakers, although I love to get dressed up too!  In one hand you will usually find me with a Diet Coke with Lime and my camera in the other.

Although I am not new to photography, I am new to the photography business.  After working for a large pharmaceutical company for 20 years, I was recently downsized. After much encouragement from family and friends, I decided to follow my dream and take my hobby to the next level and Kristine McKowen Photography was born.

My specialty is on-location, contemporary, natural light portraiture.  I strive to capture my subjects in the most authentic way possible, allowing honest expressions, natural poses, and playful personalities to come through in every image.
